While not quite as impressive as the lineup from January, this February offers variety for Japan PS Plus free games. The PS4, PS3, Vita, and even the PSP gets some love this month, so if you’ve got a Japanese PS Plus account get downloading.

Hatoful Boyfriend (PS4 / PS Vita)

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Sony Japan has decided to give the lonely masses a taste of love. What better creature to embody the concept of love than pigeons.

Hatoful Boyfriend, developed by PigeoNation Inc. and Mediatronic, puts you in the position of the only human girl at an all-bird academy searching for love among her avian classmates. The game follows a dating-sim, visual novel structure.

Originally released in 2011 for PC, the game made its way to PS4 and Vita in 2015 and now you can enjoy this human-bird love story for free this month. Hatoful Boyfriend has been praised for its creative premise and writing. While it may not fill that gaping abyss in your heart this Valentine’s Day, it will at least remind you that you can find love anywhere. In anything. That counts for something, right?

Evolve (PS4)

Is there still a community for this online game? Another 2015 release, Evolve was billed as an evolution of the Left 4 Dead formula, pitting one player as the overpowered predator and four others as the hunters.

When games like this come out, I always wonder if there are any fans that continue to cling to it and play no matter what. The progression system is an absolute joke, with hours and hours of play required to get anywhere.

Lots of hype led up to the release, which was quickly killed by a brain dead, manipulative DLC strategy. The player base quickly dropped, and the game was all but forgotten. Even making the sequel free on Steam hasn’t helped this franchise. Maybe this will be the revival Evolve needs.

Nah.

Also free this month:

  • Borderlands The Pre-Sequel (PS3)
  • Eat Them! (PS3)
  • Starblood Arena (PS VR)
  • SNK Arcade Classics 0 (PSP / PS Vita)
  • Slide N’ Go (PS4)

Sony just can’t seem to get enough of giving Slide N’ Go away. It’s not worth it. Even for free, it’s not worth it.
