It’s once again time to eat vicariously with the help of Simon & Martina. This time our favourite adventuring lovebirds are visiting the Dominique Ansel Bakery. In case you haven’t heard of Chef Ansel – he was named the best pastry chef IN THE WORLD in 2017. Need I say more?

So THAT’S what it will take for someone to make an anime version of me…

In their video, Simon & Martina try a variety of delicious-looking summer treats, including the perfectly Instagrammable ‘what-a-melon’ soft serve.

What-a-melon. I love a good pun…

They also chow down on a frozen s’more and an interesting looking corn ice cream.  The ‘cone’ is a half-cob of corn and the soft serve is caramel corn flavour with butter and soy sauce. I think I’m with Simon on this one…

Hmm…

Aside from the treats included in the video, the bakery boasts a wide variety of other cakes and pastries – including a cookie shot glass and a super fluffy-looking mousse cheesecake.  They also have savory items for you to lunch on. Breaker Japan’s own Dan was again along for the shoot, but he didn’t bring us anything back. Not even a macaron.
