Capcom has announced a live concert to celebrate Mega Man’s 30th anniversary in Japan. Taking place at Nakano ZERO Dai Hall in Tokyo on July 8th. There will be two shows held, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Tickets are priced at 7,500 yen (~$75).
The concert will be arranged by Noriyuki Iwadare who had a hand in several Mega Man games of the past as well as the Phoenix Wright series.
Along with featuring music from both the original Mega Man and the X series performed by a special 30th Anniversary band, the live show will also feature presentations and news announcements about the franchise’s future.
Tickets will go on sale starting Thursday, April 19th. Capcom says that they’ll be selling a ton of exclusive Mega Man goods that will only be available at the event. Get ready to start searching eBay if you can’t make it.
With Mega Man 11 announced earlier this year, this is big news for fans of the blue bomber. It’s also happy news for Capcom fans, as the company seems finally be back on track and giving love to the franchises that put them on the map in the first place.
